As part of an ongoing experiment and return to the world of data abstraction for me, this time with long time colleague and collaborator Adam O’Meara, we’re exploring identity, not through the individual but the dividual – creating average portraits via a range of criteria. If you would like to take part in creating an average portrait of Lincoln, we’re set up at Kodak, Guildhall street on the 24th, 25th, 29th, 31st of October and 1st of November. Pedestrian Encounters also has a dedicated site which we shall be populating with images taken during this year’s Frequency Digital Arts festival, anyone is welcome to take part.
Above – Mean and Median averages from a range of residents and visitors to Lincoln, 34 contributors on Saturday the 24th of October.
Images from the series will be on show in the Angel Cafe into November.
